Cette aquatinte de la série Nocturne, va à l’encontre de ce que l’artiste expérimente en tant que dessinatrice. Quand en gravure, le fond est recouvert d’encre, dans ses dessins, il est blanc immaculé. Le personnage dissimule son visage grâce au masque qu’il porte, il peut voir sans être vu. Cette figure double ne dévoile que ce qu’il désire au regardeur qui s’interroge sur sa nature. Ce travail sur le double se poursuit avec les hybridations, ou l’homme et l’animal ne font plus qu’un.

This aquatint, part of the Nocturne series, goes in the opposite direction from what the artist experiments with in her drawings. Where in etching, the background is covered in ink, in her drawings it is pure white. The character hides their face behind the mask they are wearing, they can see without being seen. This double figure only reveals what they want to the spectator who questions their nature. This work on the double is carried through with the hybridisations, in which man and animal are as one.
